(August 10, 2009) -- Former International Boxing Federation (IBF) / International Boxing Organization (IBO) flyweight champion NONITO "The Filipino Flash" DONAIRE, Jr., and his opponent, top-rated contender RAFAEL "El Torito" CONCEPCION will host separate Media Workouts at the Top Rank Gym in Las Vegas (3041 Business Lane., Las Vegas, Nev. 89103) Tomorrow! Tuesday, August 11, beginning at Noon PT. Donaire (21-1, 14 KOs), from San Leandro, Calif. by way of General Santos City, Philippines, and Concepcion (13-3-1, 8 KOs), of Panama City, Panama, are training for their battle for the vacantWorld Boxing Association (WBA) interim super flyweight title. The Donaire-Concepcion rumble headlines "Pinoy Power 2" -- the world championship pay-per-view extravaganza.
Concepcion's workout and media interview session will begin at Noon, followed by Donaire's at 1 P.M.
Promoted by Top Rank, "Pinoy Power 2," will also feature World Boxing Organization (WBO) featherweight champion Steven Luevano of LaPuente, Calif., defending his title against No. 1 contender and mandatory challenger Bernabe Concepcion of Rizal, Philippines. The broadcast will also feature undefeated Top-Five junior welterweight contender Anthony Peterson of Washington, D.C. in a 10-round bout against Luis Arcero and welterweight Mark Melligen of Bacolod City Philippines in a 10-round rumble with Michele Rosales of San Luis, Potosi, Mexico.
