Mayweather Has More to Say in a New Radio Interview

What does Pretty Boy Floyd have to say as he promotes his upcoming September 19th fight?

411mania listened in as Floyd Mayweather spoke to SupaKen of the Russ Parr Morning Show. Here are some of the highlights on a wide range of topics.

Mayweather interview excerpts:

Q. Why such a tough opponent out the gate?
Floyd- I'm one of the best fighters of all-time and from my era. To prove so, I want to fight one of the best from my era…

Q.Are you fully recovered from your injury?
Floyd- Yes it took a while, but now I'm fully recovered. Saw a specialist/doctor in Los Angeles that got me doing what I needed to do, and now I'm feeling a lot better…

Q.Was the injury caused by Floyd going hard, or was there a little rust there?
Floyd- It was just a freak accident. Freak accidents happen in training. I kept training, but a doctor told me I should rest so I could heal….

Q. Best thing accomplished during retirement?
Floyd- Spending time my with children…being the best father I can be…

Q. Response to Marquez planning to dig into bad ribs?
Floyd- 39 have tried and 39 have failed. September 19th will be a hell of a fight between the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world and the best Mexican fighter….

Q.What's your take on athletes getting caught with PEDs.
Floyd- Oh, like Shane Mosley. If that were me they would have put me through the ringer. I'm achieving off of my god-given abilities…

Q. Is Michael Vick getting a fair shake?
Floyd- Nah, they're not talking about the quarterback for the Steelers for what he just did, or that wide-receiver, who killed somebody and got 20something days…

As you can see, Mayweather has a lot of opinions, and he'll surely be talking a lot more in the coming weeks as he goes on to promote and hype his September 19th bout against Juan Manuel Marquez.
